Summer 2026 Night Climbs and Other Events

Join us on Friday, August 7th, 2026, National Lighthouse Day, to pay tribute to our lighthouse. Children will be able to earn a Junior Lighthouse Keeper Certificate by coming to the Interpretive Center between 10-2 and answering questions about the history and characteristics of Barnegat Lighthouse.

Note:  National Lighthouse Day is celebrated each year on August 7th.  On August 7 in 1789, Congress approved an Act for the establishment and support of lighthouses.  In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Act, Congress passed a resolution on August 7, 1989, designating August 7th as the day to recognize lighthouses.

Make Your summer memorable by attending one of our Night Climbs!

All Night Climbs are on Saturdays from 7 - 9 pm.(Space is limited so please arrive early!)

The complete 2026 schedule of night climbs and other special events will be posted on our Summer Events page.

Wishing all of you a great winter and hope to see you at our speaker series! (posted on the Winter Events page)
